〜心と魂を変える、あらゆる深いつながりを表現するオリジナルサウンドトラック〜



In preparations for the next full length release coming from the San Francisco brightcore bedroom project, “High Sunn” (Justin Cheromiah), “before story ~ yume no kimi ~ ” marks a significant point in the catalog of the act. Prior to this release was, “welcome to life” (p-vine) which gave fans a taste of the noisy melodic hymns that Cheromiah can create.

“before story ~ yume no kimi ~” is a 6 track e.p. that pushes the envelope of what “brightcore” means. With this genre being coined by Justin himself, he simply quotes it as a “music for looking at the sky and understanding that the sky is always there while we make new memories day to day.” With a greater collection of songs being put together, Justin wanted to give fans of what to expect on the next LP.

This new e.p. showcases Justin’s development in production, songwriting, and progression. Featuring licks and arrangements that pay homage to early to mid 2000s visual novels such as “Subarashiki Hibi ~Furenzoku Sonzai~” or “H2O~Footprints In The Sand~”, Justin does not hide his appreciation for the stories and games that shaped his childhood. “yume no kimi '' takes a lot of inspiration from acts like Pixelbee, lical, Seventeen Years Old and Berlin Wall,, Looprider, BiSH, Maki, Ano, and many more. This e.p. solidifies his contribution to the asian shoegaze|dream pop scene with a more joyous twist.

With it being a summer release, everything about this record is bright, sweet, and energetic. The listener may feel a sense of nostalgia and sensation of pure bliss when listening to the guitar driven “J idol-like” compositions accompanied with the airy vocals coming from the heart.
